Sept 24/05
Scrambling with a group from RM board. I drove down the night before and camped in the town site. Around
0100 I developed a migraine, so when my alarm went off, I ripped up my tent and tossed it in my vehicle, unsure if I'd do
anything that day. I couldn't even stomach boiled water at that point. I sped off to the Carmeron Lake lot
and met up with the others (Sonny, Vern, Bob, Linda, Kelly, James and Eric). After joking with Vern for a couple of
minutes, I decided to give it a try (the plan being Alderson, Buchanan, and Carthew) - it would have been a waste of gas otherwise!
By the time I dragged my ass to the summit of Alderson, every step pushed my eyeball one step closer to exploding, so I called
it quits, and watched the others depart for some terrific elevation loss towards Buchanan. After lazing around for a
half hour or so, I started down to see somebody else taking a nap lower down. Turned out to be Bob, who had sprained
his ankle a couple weeks previous and didn't feel up to the 3 peaks either. We strolled out together under amazing autumn
weather and drove back to Calgary.

The rest of the group continued on to complete Buchanan and Carthew... well Sonny tagged Buchanan and headed down...
he'd done both Alderson and Carthew before. This was my cherry for Waterton, but I was much more fascinated with
the big peaks like Chapman etc... I hope I don't turn into Dave!
